Adore la Doré

I couldn't help but falling in love with the beautiful women over at Garance Doré's blog. They are not only highly fashionable, but they make it seem so effortless as well.
My dreams have been erratic and inconsistent lately. They usually are but I've been dreaming every single night and mostly remembering them which is not a very usual situation. Have you ever been dreaming and you see a dress, shirt, purse, etc. that you have never seen before? I have. This surely means that you have designed it all by yourself, while sleeping! It's quite peculiar to think that a fashion imagination works while you're asleep. It almost seems like I have a better sense of fashion when I'm dreaming. Oh, geez. C'est la vie, c'est la vie.

Your writing is a joy to read, my dear. I cannot say as though I've designed many items of clothing while asleep, but I have dreamed of people and places that I had never encountered before (or seen or spoke to, etc) in my life only to later months/years down the line encounter them. This always marvels and slightly disturbs me, but I welcome the occurrence all the same.

I'm with Jessica. I dream about people I have never met and places I have never been. Sometimes feelings or experiences I've never been through, but when I do they're so accurate. I think sometimes my mind will compile all this information and create a synthesized image for me and it's something I've never seen.
In any case, a dreaming fashion designer sounds good. :}
Mm, and those photos. I have to say I am envious of the way those women can wear anything and look amazing, neat and comfortable. I always look disheveled/dirty, haha.
She does always seem to find the best subjects for her pictures and she captures them so well. Sometimes it seems like the people in street style pictures must exist in an alternate universe.

oh, i love these. i've saved the girl with the orange scarf and the red skinny belt girl to my computer from garance's site as well. so gorgeous and inspiring. i think i will wear a colourful belt with my trench coat today!
