Little Treasures

There are few things as precious are receiving a gift by mail from a friend. Ever since I first came across Heather's poetry and photo blog, The Syntax of Things and later, The Mezzanine, I found yet another beautiful and caring friend in the world of blogging. Her thoughtful comments and warm concerns and advice always left me with a smile on my face. Perhaps that is why I was so happy to hear that I had won her first giveaway. Receiving the prize only intensified that happiness. The contents of the package that arrived at my doorstep were each little treasures delicately packaged with plenty of love. I think that I was meant to win this giveaway- everything was so distinctly me: the silver charms, the scented bar, love nest and banner. Even the striped ribbon and the feathery light tulle used to hold each little treasure in place was distinct to my likings. It felt so wrong to undo such delicate and beautiful wrappings but I found that among them there were treasures just as beautiful.
