I found the lovely Shira Sela via Etsy and was immediately drawn to her artwork. Her nostalgic sketches and use of ink, markers and digital color attracted me instantaneously. I found the brighter colors against more neutral backdrops to be very alluring. When I took a closer look at the prints, I noticed that they were not merely beautiful pieces of art but also frames that so graciously created a story through metaphorical detailing.

So I am more than pleased to partner with Shira and host my very first giveaway! Up for grabs is the beautiful print "Never Alone" featured below.

WOW these are beautiful! Thanks for sharing these! My favorite print in her etsy shop, aside from the print for this giveaway, is definitely "Blossom." I've always had an appreciation for art that reaches subtly for the emotions, and I feel that she really does that - particularly with the whimsical, surrealist, dream-like quality in "Blossom." Ah! Beautiful!

I would LOVE to see the HEALING print on my wall, because 1. I can relate to it, and 2. My walls are bare and i've lived in my apt. for almost 1 year!

ohh! i just posted this giveaway on my blog.
I reallly love the print it's my party, it remind me of the kid still in me. I used to be obsessed with fairies when i was younger and it reminds me of being a kid and how i would search for fairy rings of flowers and mushrooms hoping there would be a fairy near by.

Such lovely artwork! It's so hard to choose a favourite, I love both blossom and free spirit:)

Never alone is very gorgeous too, I'll love to have something like that to decorate my room now and later on my future home with my love...

Oh, her pieces are gorgeous! I'm sort of over the moon about "Happy Moment." I love the colors, the waves, and the mood. This is probably a bit odd, but I love the way she draws hair...

Amelia September 30, 2009 at 1:08 AM

These are so amazing! I love the colors. I guess my favorite of hers is "Destiny," but it's quite hard to choose.

I would like to win this print because it looks straight out of my dreams :)

Saskia September 30, 2009 at 4:07 AM

My favourite is 'happy moment'.

These prints are just beautiful. So calming somehow.

I'd love to win this print as I'm planning on redecorating the spare bedroom - I'd love to decorate it all round this print and hang it in pride of place!

Its going to be alright.

I really love this print:

It's blue-ish (my favorite color).
It's peaceful (like my character).
The art has one of my favorite lines: 'Its going to be alright'. Because that's a line I always tell other people (who are feeling a bit down).
I don't have anything haning on my walls at the moment, so this piece of art could be the very first one.

Best wishes,

D.

Hi! I love your blog and Shira's works as well. :)

I love all her works but my most favorite would be the "Healing" because I think it's too sweet when somebody tries to sew back all of your heart's shattered pieces. Somebody told me that before and I just remember a painful experience and how could one person could lighten up my feelings. :)

Corinna October 5, 2009 at 10:46 PM

my favourite would be the "Free Spirit" print, because birds just make me wish i could tie myself onto them and fly away with them

Eliza October 6, 2009 at 6:13 AM

oh, what a wonderful giveaway! well, if i were to win, i'd choose 'Sheltered'. it makes me think of magical forests where i could be at peace and find magical creatures. i would love to win this giveaway because i would hang it in my room and always have something to gaze upon and dream :)

Beth October 8, 2009 at 11:19 AM
